Social Security Tourism Holding
The Social Security Tourism Holding (Hegta) was established in 2015 (1394 SH) by the Social Security Organization with the aim of coordination, synergy, and creating a value chain in the country’s tourism industry.
Hegta Holding currently oversees six groups and investment companies in the hotel, accommodation, hospitality, transportation, tour operation, cultural centers and shopping, and construction sectors, covering around one hundred locations across the country.
Abadgaran Iran Tourism Company (Public Joint-Stock) is a leading company in the construction and tourism industry, headquartered in the spiritual capital of Islamic Iran, operating under the Social Security Tourism Holding (Hegta). The Kuhsangi Tourist and Recreational Complex in Mashhad is located in the holy city of Mashhad, offering a magnificent view overlooking the holy shrine of Imam Reza (PBUH). The natural topography of the land and its elevations, proximity to Shahid Kalantari Highway, and quick and easy access to the holy shrine, the airport, and the city's central terminal have given this complex a distinctive position.
Tamin International Company is one of the companies under the umbrella of the Social Security Tourism Holding (Hegta), with 100% ownership. With its 30 years of experience, Tamin Company acts as the central synergy hub for other subsidiary companies of Hegta, formulating and executing combined travel packages as well as medical tourism.
The Coastal Village Company is one of the companies under the umbrella of the Social Security Tourism Holding (Hegta), which is the largest tourism holding in the country. With over 50 years of experience in construction, tourism, and hospitality activities, and as the founder of the first tourist and recreational village in the Middle East, this company pursues its main activities in the new era in line with its defined strategies for the development of the tourism industry, as follows. The main activity of the Coastal Village Company is the construction of villas and apartments, and its area of operation has been limited to Gilan Province.
Raja Rail Transport Company was established in 1996 (1375 SH) with the aim of improving the quality and quantity of rail passenger services under the name "Raja Passenger Trains Company," and in March 2010 (Esfand 1388 SH) it was transferred from the Islamic Republic of Iran Railways Company to the Social Security Organization. As the largest private rail passenger company in Iran, with a major share of passenger-service wagons and a presence on most rail routes, the company also holds the largest market share in the country's rail passenger sector. In order to strengthen the coordination and performance of its technical division, the company has established **Novin Sanat Raja Company** as a spin-off under its umbrella, which handles the repair of rail infrastructure and fleet for Raja and other rail companies. In addition to Novin Sanat, Raja collaborates with other knowledge-based companies for the construction of new fleet, repairs, and the transfer of rail technical knowledge.
Irantourist and Tourism Investment Company was transferred, based on a Cabinet resolution, in equal 50% shares to the Civil Servants Pension Fund and the Social Security Organization. Among the subsidiaries of this company are the National Travel Card Investment Company, Alisadr Mehr Travel Services Company, and Alisadr Tourism Company. In 2015 (1394 SH), after the establishment of the Social Security Tourism Holding (Hegta), the management of 50% of the shares of the aforementioned company was first transferred from the Social Security Organization to the Tamin Welfare and Tourism Company, and in 2019 (1398 SH), the ownership of its shares was transferred. Currently, the major shareholders of this company are Hegta and Atiyeh Saba Investment Company. The management of the company's shares has been with the representative of the Civil Servants Pension Fund since 2000 (1379 SH).
