Tehran-Van international train starts operating

According to the Public Relations Department of Social Security Tourism Holding (HSHTA), Alireza Tabesh announced that the Tehran One train has resumed operations after a 5-year hiatus, stating: "This route, which is considered one of the most popular rail routes between Iran and Turkey, is a step forward for the prosperity of the tourism industry and the development of economic interactions between the two countries." The CEO of Social Security Tourism Holding (HSHTA) added: "Raja Rail Transportation Company, which is a subsidiary of Social Security Welfare and Tourism Company (HSHTA), is trying to play an effective role in the development of the tourism industry and strengthening international relations by providing new services in the passenger rail transportation sector, especially on international routes."
Tabesh reminded: As a subsidiary of the Social Security Organization, Hegta Holding is proud to offer extensive hotel services, passenger transportation and tourism services along with various travel packages to different segments of society.
Alirez Tabesh considered the revival of the Tehran-Van train only the beginning of the development path and said: In the near future, other plans have been considered to expand rail services between Iran and neighboring countries.
He emphasized: The launch and development of regular and safe rail routes in the international arena, especially on routes leading to neighboring countries, will facilitate the attraction of foreign tourists and can turn Iran into a tourism hub in the region and contribute to the sustainable development of this industry.
The Tehran-Van train departs from Tehran to Van twice a week, on Sundays and Wednesdays, and returns from Van to Tehran on Mondays and Thursdays.
